XM APAC strengthens manpower to drive digital

In a bid to stay ahead of the growth curve with the right talent, XM Asia Pacific , the internet strategy, creative and technical solution provider in the region, has been strengthening its top end manpower recently. The company has promoted Vince Lui as the managing director, and hired Lawrence Chua as the analytics director to spearhead growth in the coming months.

Lui is responsible for driving the overall growth for the company across the APAC region in 2012. He was given this new responsibility because of his earlier performance as managing partner for the consulting unit of XM. Lui has over 12 years of experience in the digital media space.

Talking about giving Lui the new role, Paul Soon, CEO of XM Asia Pacific said, “Vince has built out key parts of our business, and is in a perfect place to manage our expansion. He has a strong ability to merge marketing and technology with seamlessness and passion.” In fact he was responsible expansion of XM’s new businesses and partnerships, including key accounts like the Singapore Tourism Board, the Economic Development Board, HP, Nokia and Visa, in his earlier role.

Post his appointment as MD, Lui has hired Lawrence Chua as analytics director to monitor online business. Through various online channels like search, consumer and business blogs, and social media, Chua will work with various brands in their digital presence strategy. He will work with XM’s government, technology, airline and finance brands and help them in creating effective digital touch points across segments like social, search engine, and blogs for both consumer and business marketing activities.

Prior to joining XM, Chua spent four years running Adobe Omniture’s training business across Asia Pacific and Japan, dealing with clients like Telstra, Standard Chartered Bank, Air China and Starwood. According to Lui, Chua’s appointment is strategic because he will meet the company’s need to provide next generation predictive analytics to clients so that they can stay ahead of competition in their business.
