As part of Dentsu Singapore, Hiroshi Sato has been appointed Head of Dentsu Media Singapore, overseeing all media and content functions. Reporting to CEO Rosalynn Tay, Mr Sato takes over the role vacated by Akiro Suzuki, who has since re-located back to Tokyo.

With 15 years in the media business, Mr Sato was previously an Associate Planning Director at Mindshare Shanghai, Regional Business Director at Mindshare Asia Pacific, Director at Ogilvy Shanghai, and more recently, as a Project Manager in Dentsu Inc., specifically to grow the Dentsu Group’s media business in the region.

Following closely to Ms Tay’s appointment in July as part of the agency’s strategic plan to reinvigorate the agency, Mr Sato’s new role will be to build the offerings of Dentsu Media Singapore up to another level especially with key clients like Canon, Toyota, Uniqlo and Marina Bay Sands. This also includes branded content and syndication tailored for clients, leveraging on the global strength of the Dentsu Media network.

“Hiroshi fits the profile of someone with diverse experiences and strength essential in my new management team. Furthermore, his competency in our key focus area of “convergence marketing” will offer more for our clients specifically those with a regional, cross-cultural focus. We are pleased to have him on board our team,” said Ms Tay in a press statement.
