Aegis Media Taiwan fortifies digital management team

Aegis Media announced several key promotions to further strengthen the group’s digital offering in Taiwan. Freda Shao, currently Managing Director of wwwins Isobar Taiwan, has been promoted to the newly-created position of Chief Digital Officer for Aegis Media Taiwan. Edith Chou, previously Planning Director at Isobar China, will take the helm as General Manager of wwwins Isobar Taiwan. Both will report directly to Ann Yang, CEO of Aegis Media Taiwan.

Commenting on Ms Shao’s promotion, Ann Yang said, “The appointments show our commitment to consolidating our strategy and meeting our goals of being globally ahead in digital and increasing performance. Freda has been with the company for 14 years, and she offers exceptional digital expertise and experience in communication strategy, client servicing and business management. As a visionary leader, her drive and passion will ensure we accelerate our digital growth and provide deeper consultative and comprehensive services for our clients.”

“I am delighted to take on the responsibility of leading the Aegis Media Taiwan team on a new and exciting digital journey. My goal is to provide the vision, insights and the most effective strategies for our team and clients in today’s rapidly changing digital world,” said Ms Shao.

Roi Chang, previously Executive Director – Digital Media Service of wwwins Isobar Taiwan, is promoted to Associate Vice President (AVP), Digital Media Investment of Aegis Media Taiwan.

Succeeding Ms Shao in her former role of Managing Director of wwwins Isobar Taiwan, Edith Chou has been appointed to General Manager of the agency. Ms Chou joined Isobar Taiwan in 2004 as an Account Manager and learnt how to explore client needs, business challenges and how to create effective ideas efficiently. Four years later, she decided to take on a strategy planner role to cultivate her discovery of insights and extend her point of view in strategic thinking.

In 2011, Ms Chou moved from Taiwan to Shanghai to address the challenges of China’s larger market, diverse client requirements and business issues. She has spent the past two years as Planning Director for the agency, where she played a vital role in helping clients develop many award-winning digital campaigns.

“Freda has built a solid team with strong digital capabilities in Taiwan, and the entire team is passionate about what they do. I’m delighted to return my hometown; to share my knowledge, take on new challenges and work alongside a very talented team. wwwins Isobar Taiwan will continue to focus on providing pioneering and innovative services for our clients.” said Ms Chou.
