John Kerr

John Kerr leads Zeno Group Asia. His 20-plus year career has spanned seven countries, four continents, in-house to agency — spread across communications, interactive and brand marketing. He is one of the most experienced crisis communications professionals in Asia today. He was first Crisis Management trained in July 1992 as the European marketing and communications lead for Wang Laboratories’ Global Chapter 11 task-force – which has become a leading case study in managing a firm through bankruptcy protection in 18 months. Following Wang, he joined one of the largest public relations firms in London, developing and testing European crisis plans for firms such as; Microsoft, Xerox, Orange and Virgin. For two years, he acted as agency lead counsel for Microsoft during the European Union Investigation. In 2005, at Chevron New Zealand he was responsible for rewriting, testing and deploying the operation and reputational crisis plans and models and worked as part of the Asia-wide crisis management team. In 2006, he returned to Singapore, where he founded Edelman Digital Asia and was senior digital crisis counsel for firms such as; GE, Johnson & Johnson, Research-in-Motion, APRIL and Unilever.
