Blis appoints Richard Andrew as Asia MD

Blis, the location data technology platform, has appointed Richard Andrew as Managing Director, Asia. Mr Andrew has been promoted from the position of Regional Group Director, Asia, based in Hong Kong. Under his leadership, the business has experienced exceptional growth through the expansion into new SEA markets including Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam and Malaysia.

The appointment, effective immediately follows the departure of Regina Goh, Managing Director Asia, who leaves Blis to pursue new opportunities. Goh leaves Blis after more than three years overseeing sales and operations, whilst leading expansion across Southeast Asia and India.

Mr Andrew has been instrumental to Blis’ growth in the region since he joined in 2015. He brings over 15 years of experience in digital advertising across multiple geographies having held senior positions at Microsoft and Yahoo!. Prior to joining Blis, he was the General Manger for Asia at Amobee.

Harry Dewhirst, President at Blis noted the business value that Andrew’s credentials brings to Blis. “Richard’s experience underpins both a strong understanding of the Asian market, and a deep knowledge of Blis’ proprietary technology and how it can be used to deliver a competitive advantage for clients. As we continue to develop new products and partnerships in Asia I look forward to working with Richard to build upon the success we’ve achieved so far,” he added.

Mr Andrew commented on his excitement to helm the next chapter in Blis’ growth. “As more brands look to movement data technology as a core pillar of their digital strategy, I’m excited to lead the business into its next stage of growth, through the development of our products and further expansion into the Asia market.”

“We’ve undergone a rapid growth in the region, from a single market presence to six offices across Southeast Asia. Now my priority will be further enhancing our capabilities in movement data technology to deliver the highest performance for our valued customers” he added.
