Twitter, like most other digital media companies, has quite a play at Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity this year. One of the more interesting DMA meetings in the day was with Twitter’s Vice President for Asia Pacific, Latin America & Emerging Markets, Shailesh Rao.

The better part of Mr Rao’s day is moving between back to back meetings with clients and agency partners – “as it should be” – he tells DMA.

“Cannes is a place where all the people in the marketing and communication industry get together to talk about media, and how we can make media work better for clients, users and everyone involved,” observed Mr Rao.

He added, “There is such a critical mass of key decision makers here that I believe it is a great opportunity to make media, in this case digital media, grow further by leveraging its benefits and potential for the industry at large.”
