Club Méditerranée, commonly known as Club Med has picked Spark Foundry to lead its media business in mainland China. Spark Foundry’s scope of work includes integrated media in SEM, SEO, programmatic and social with estimated billings of USD 10m.
There were 8 agencies in the pitch, including OMD, iClick, Netbooster and Altima.
“Spark Foundry won the business due to our holistic approach to media, the specialized and experienced team in each channel and the strong and deep relationships we have with key players in China – all of which Club Med wanted to consolidate in its business partner,” said Linda Wang, General Manager at Spark Foundry Shanghai.
Club Med is a premium all-inclusive vacation resort concept for holiday seekers. In China, Club Med has properties in Sanya, Guilin, Beidahu, and Yabuli with ambition to open 20 new resorts in China by 2020. The new Club Med Joyview resorts will open in late 2017; Club Med Joyview Golden Coast and Anji will open soon in China. Club Med Joyview offers premium short holidays in a collection of extraordinary and easily accessible destinations located within a two or three hour drive from major cities in China.
