DAN buys Indonesia’s Valuklik to strengthen performance mktg capabilities

Dentsu Aegis Network has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Valuklik, a digital performance marketing company in Indonesia, to be merged with iProspect in the country. Post-acquisition, Valuklik will be rebranded as iProspect Valuklik, adding significant scale to the network’s capabilities and to be established as the market leader in performance in the high growth market.

Established in 2012, Valuklik focuses on delivering data driven performance marketing solution, large scale enterprise level SEO, digital transformation and data & analytics. The agency delivers digital marketing services across all digital media channels – search, social media, programmatic media and performance content. Valuklik is a Google Premier Partner and a Facebook Agency Partner, with more than 20 certified individuals.

Based in Jakarta, Valuklik has over 55 professionals with clients across sectors such as travel, telecom, media, e-commerce, insurance and FMCG.

Valuklik’s subsidiary – Pinnacle, a specialised unit for analytics will also be joining iProspect and be rebranded as iProspect Pinnacle.

Following the acquisition, Founder of Valuklik, Cleosent Randing, as Chairman and Rahul Nambiar as CEO of iProspect Valuklik, will oversee the growth and operations of merged business. Both of them will report to SK Biswas, CEO Dentsu Aegis Network Indonesia, and join the leadership team of Dentsu Aegis Network Indonesia. The other shareholders, East Ventures and John Marco Rasjid exited the investment and divested their shares in Valuklik.

The deal is subject to regulatory approvals and is anticipated to close by February 2018.
