Deezer expands APAC presence to Indonesia

Music streaming service Deezer has signed an exclusive partnership with Tri (Hutchison 3 Indonesia), the telecommunication provider for the country’s youth segment. As part of its global business group, Tri is providing support for Deezer to extend its presence in Asia Pacific, following its recent launch into Japan.

The partnership also brings exclusivity that enables Tri customers to use their pulsa (balance credit) to purchase Deezer’s Premium+ monthly package for IDR 49.990. For a limited time, Tri customers can also enjoy three months of Premium+ with one month’s payment of IDR 49.990.

“Given that over 51 per cent of Indonesians use their mobile devices to listen to music we are thrilled to be partnering with Hutchison 3 Indonesia to be giving music fans the complete experience that matches all of their mobile needs,” said Daud Aditirto, Deezer Vice President, APAC.

“Our digital service is becoming the important part of our millennials users’ lifestyle, including music contents. We are glad to enrich the inventories through this partnership, thus our subscribers will now be able to enjoy a more meaningful life,” said Dolly Susanto, Chief Commercial Officer Hutchison 3 Indonesia.

In addition to the Tri package, which offers Deezer Premium+ to all customers who opt for a bundled data plan or a standalone offer and which enables those customers to listen to music via Digital Lifestyle Provider bima+, Deezer’s Premium+, Family and HiFi packages will continue to be available to the general public who want to pay using a credit card, an ATM or via internet banking.
