Dentsu Inc’s Tim Andree on the evolving role of Cannes Lions

Tim Andree, Executive Chairman, Dentsu Aegis Network and the Executive Vice President & Member of the Board, Dentsu Inc makes it a point to spend a few days at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. Reason being: “It is critically important for all agencies, and obviously the creatively inclined disciplines, to be here at Cannes. The work we do all through the year is judged here.”

Mr Andree believes that while being judged at Cannes Lions itself is important, the other critical factor is ensuring a presence at the Festival to be able to meet companies that are shaping the face of the industry. “This is one of the few times in the year, when you can get the teams together and people can spend time with those they have a relationship with through the year. It is an opportunity to meet clients for future strategy.”
