FB befriends SMBs in education & live chat

There are now more than 40 million active small business pages on Facebook. As that community continues to grow, Facebook is committed to helping each business achieve its goals.

Earlier this year Facebook launched Ads Manager app and built creative and educational resources for small business marketers. Now, it has announced two new ways for Facebook marketers to connect with the platform: 2015 Boost Your Business program and online chat support.

Boost Your Business Program
Facebook is hitting the road again this summer and beyond to talk to small businesses around the world about ways they can grow their business. The 2015 Boost Your Business program is comprised of both half-day and 2-hour pop-up events, each focused on bringing small businesses together to share best practices and hear about the latest marketing strategies and tools.

For this year’s half-day Boost Your Business events in the US, it is partnering with Facebook marketing pro Mari Smith, as well as MailChimp, Shopify, and Zenefits to add their expertise and guidance to the program. It will be visiting San Diego, Minneapolis, Nashville and Boston.

New online chat support
Businesses that advertise on Facebook will have access to one-on-one support through live online chat. By clicking “Get Help” on the Facebook for Business website, advertisers can chat and screen share with a trained Ads Specialist to get quick answers to their Facebook advertising questions.

Live chat on desktop will start to roll out to the US, UK and Ireland over the next few months and then to more countries later in the year. Facebook will also test mobile chat and phone support this year and will announce new support channels as they become available.
