Online consumers are celebrating the holiday season in full swing with online shopping wherein they don’t have to step outside the comfort of their homes and items are delivered at the doorstep. Following the Google’s Great Online Shopping Festival 2014, where consumers enjoyed attractive discounts across a wide variety of products, Google launched a campaign to acknowledge the people who complete the chain and accomplish the process of a successful delivery – the delivery boys.
Everyday these unsung heroes travel across the length and the breath of the city with huge bags loaded with orders on their back. If the consumer is not satisfied with the product, they collect the order back with no complaints.
The viral video with #SpecialDelivery is a two-minute video where Google goes to the houses of the delivery boys and says thank you by gifting them a customised helmet with their names on it. In sync with the holiday fever Google has made an effort to bring the smile of the faces of delivery boys who seek a smile on the face of the consumer when they deliver the product.
It is the effort put in by the delivery boys who make each delivery special and all what they look for in return is a smile on the faces of the consumer. Festivals like GOSF are an amazing shopping feast for the e-consumer, it not only increases the online traffic for the online shopping platforms but also increases the work load for the delivery boys who have the responsibility to ensure the consumer receives his order on time.
