iProspect, Ashoka sign partnership to drive changemaking initiatives in APAC

iProspect, global performance agency, and Ashoka, a network of social entrepreneurs, have signed a strategic partnership to drive changemaking initiatives across Asia Pacific.

This regional partnership will pilot two key changemaking initiatives with the goal of developing a global blueprint to create a bigger ecosystem of impact, driving greater innovation and systemic change in future.

The first initiative aims to drive awareness and identify synergies between media and technology organizations, brands and social innovators though a series of in-market Bridging the Gap workshops. The second initiative is the launch of an employee engagement programme through which iProspect employees will pair with Ashoka Fellows (social entrepreneurs) in Southeast Asia and dedicate a percentage of their time to advisory on communications and digital marketing support. In addition, iProspect will offer pro bono assistance to Ashoka Southeast Asia to shape messaging and strategy for the Ashoka brand.

“In 2017 Dentsu Aegis Network launched the Digital Society index, a study which ranks countries in terms of how well they are building a digital economy that works for all in society. We found that only 42 per cent of the global sample believe digital technology will help solve the world’s most pressing societal challenges. We are seeing a force at work whose impactful contribution is disrupting communities around the world and positively enforcing technology for good. We as an industry have yet to tap into the full potential of this network of social entrepreneurs. Through this partnership with Ashoka, we aim to create collaboration opportunities that can lead to more impactful, systematic change,” says Joanna Catalano, CEO iProspect Asia Pacific.

“We need to shift from a world of companies serving to a world of companies collaborating and empowering all for a better future. Employees that are engaged with changemaking skills bring a new culture of innovation and impact into the workplace. This partnership spearheads the development of a full ecosystem of changemakers for a better world,” says Sumitra Pasupathy, Director Ashoka Singapore.
