JET8 has appointed digital marketing expert John Galang as Director of Growth and Development for the Philippines, the peer-to-peer specialist’s largest market. The placement continues a global growth campaign by the developer of cutting-edge social engagement technology.
“As our largest market, The Philippines is critical not only to our current business, but also with respect to where we’re taking JET8. We’re thrilled to have someone with John’s deep social expertise in place to lead us there,” said JET8 CEO, Shannon Cullum.
Drawing on over 15 years of experience in the digital marketing sector, Mr. Galang promises to intensify JET8’s sales and business development efforts in a region globally recognised for its active social media population.
Charged with the task of developing and nurturing client relationships, Mr. Galang will employ his extensive knowledge of online advertising, digital media and mobile strategies to help brands connect with their audiences in revolutionary new ways.
Mr Galang has extensive digital sales and marketing experience, with positions including a combined total of 7 years spent at Yahoo! in both the U.S. and Philippines as Senior Digital Solutions Manager. He also served as Head of Engagement for Komli Networks, an official reseller of Facebook and Twitter, and as a key developer for Philippines-based media-buying and creative agency, AdParlor.
Officially starting on May 15th, Mr. Galang’s appointment promises to further foment JET8’s role as a leader in both the Southeast Asian and global social media landscapes.
The news follows the recent announcement of the appointment of Shannon Cullum, former Singapore CEO for multinational advertising networks Saatchi & Saatchi and MullenLowe, as JET8’s global CEO, and the addition to the Singapore team of a new Head of Retail, Ridzuan Atmaza, and designer, Genevieve Yip.
