OMD has strengthened its leadership team in China, having promoted Kevin Mann to General Manager of the network’s Guangzhou office, while Samantha Jahnke (pictured) has been elevated to Head of Digital for the agency. The appointments reflect the marketing performance company’s efforts to provide dedicated service to its clients based in Guangzhou, as well as its commitment to continue building on its digital credentials in line with clients’ needs.
Previously the Head of New Business Development for OMD China, Mr Mann will now be a part of the agency’s management team, reporting into CEO, Aaron Wild. He will ensure the Guangzhou office continues its growth momentum by developing new business opportunities, ensuring the continued enhancement of the team’s capabilities, mentoring talent and raising operational effectiveness.
Ms Jahnke has over 10 years of strategic planning and digital advertising experience, having worked across major client portfolios in both the USA and China. Prior to moving to China, Ms Jahnke was Group Director at OMD Chicago, where she developed invaluable experience in cross-channel strategy, digital planning and buying. In her new role as Head of Digital, she will also report to Wild and will be tasked with strengthening OMD China’s digital capabilities and driving innovation across all client accounts.
Speaking on the promotions, Mr Wild commented, “As a network, we have always believed that a positive and nurturing culture creates business momentum, and the agency with the strongest culture delivers the most innovative solutions through its people. The new appointments acknowledge the rapidly changing industry landscape and demonstrate our commitment to be at the forefront of change.”
Both promotions are effective immediately.
