Outbrain made several movements in its regional leadership team, with plans to make more new hires. This comes on the heels of two senior appointments it made in February, after closing a record year in the region with expansion into new markets.
Yoav Tourel has been promoted to Head of Sales for Asia Pacific, and Helena Gavros will move into the role of Head of Brands and Agencies for Southeast Asia. In his role, Mr Tourel will manage the Amplify revenue and oversee all sales team across the region. With over ten years of digital marketing experience, Mr Tourel is among the founding members of Outbrain’s ANZ team.
Joining Outbrain in February 2017, Ms Gavros has in a short time, played a critical role in strengthening the company’s relationships with brands and agencies in the region. She will be responsible for the Amplify revenue for Southeast Asia, and will manage the Sales team based in Singapore.

Innovation is in our DNA, and we continually look to create sustainable value for our brands and agency partners. I’ve witnessed firsthand the tremendous potential in this market – especially so in Southeast Asia, and look forward to charting new territories with a full team on the ground in Singapore.”
Meanwhile in India, another strategic market for Outbrain, Anand Makhija has been promoted to Director of Business Development. Anand, a passionate advocate for stakeholder engagement, will focus on building and managing relationships with publishers and advertisers alike.

Over the last six months, Outbrain has expanded its suite of products, with a renewed focus on enhancing the user experience. It launched Sphere, a new digital experience that transforms every page into an infinite stream of discovery for publishers and users, and acquired AdNgin to optimise the reader experiences based on their visual preferences.
