Rice Communications opens Hong Kong office

Rice Communications has opened an office in Hong Kong. The move comes as an increasing number of the firm’s clients look to the agency for counsel and campaign execution in North Asia.

Leading the new office is recently appointed Account Director, Phoebe Sou. Ms Sou brings over 10 years of experience in strategic communications, public relations, corporate reputation and stakeholder engagement across Greater China and New Zealand. Ms Sou is joined by Senior Account Manager, Joel Lah, who has relocated to Hong Kong after four years with Rice in Singapore.

“Our growth is fuelled by the talented people we have and the trust they’ve built with our clients. Our clients in Southeast Asia look to us to support their campaigns all across the region and having a direct presence in Hong Kong will help us take that support to a new level,” says Sonya Madeira, Managing Partner, Rice Communications.

Rice operates a single P&L across the agency’s offices in Singapore, Myanmar and Hong Kong, giving clients greater flexibility in how regional campaigns are structured and managed. The agency has grown to 36 people across its three offices.

The Hong Kong office is already working with clients across the technology, lifestyle, travel and hospitality sectors.
