Stage set for AdAsia 2013: Focus – ‘Re-engineer Advertising’

AdAsia Logo 2013The stage is set for 28th Asian Advertising Congress, AdAsia 2013. Hosted in Hanoi, Vietnam this year, AdAsia kicks off on November 11, 2013, and will culminate on November 14, 2013. The event, themed ‘Re-engineer Advertising’ in this edition, will be attended by over 1000 delegates from the marketing and advertising industry. This will include Asian Federation of Advertising Association (AFAA) member countries and representatives from media and advertising enterprises in Asia and around the world.

Some of the event partners this year include Dentsu Media Vietnam, Le Media Group, Mobile Marketing Association, Sun Flower Media Group, Vina Media Corporation and WADA Group amongst others.

A special session on the digital media landscape will take place on November 14, 2013 titled ‘Redefining Digital: Mankind’s Third Biggest Revolution’. The Session will be chaired by media entrepreneur Annurag Batra. The speakers in the session include Jawahar Kanjilal, Vice Present and Global Head of Nokia Life and Lee Smith, CEO – Platforms, Omnicom Media Group APAC.

The session aims to discuss whether the marketing industry should continue use the segregate ‘digital’ as it currently does, when consumers do not make the differentiation in the media they consume. As the world becomes better connected and we live a life in the digital era, how should the mindset of marketers change to prepare for the future.

The event will bring together some of the biggest names of the industry to deliberate on issues impacting the marketing and advertising business.

The first day of the event, November 11, 2013 would serve as a networking opportunity for all attending delegates. Sessions begin on November 12, 2013.
