Tiger Beer appoints We Are Social for social media strategy

To develop a coordinated global communication strategy using social media as the basis, Tiger Beer, one of Asia’s leading beer brand’s has appointed the social media agency We Are Social. Working from its Singapore office, the agency will be responsible for developing  the global social media strategy for the brand.

We Are Social has already been working with the Tiger Beer’s global team to understand how best social media can be used to grow the brand amongst the young adults. Talking about the tie up, Simon Kemp, managing director, We Are Social Singapore said, “We’ve spent the past few months working with Tiger Beer’s global team to explore the ways in which the brand can harness social media to promote a coordinated approach to strategic communications around the world.”

The agency has been doing an in-depth audit of existing social media conversations surrounding the Tiger Beer brand. Kemp informed that this activity has already revealed some fascinating insights into the audience’s habits, attitudes and behaviours. These insights will form the backbone of a social media strategy that will deliver heightened audience engagement across multiple online and offline channels, on both a global and a local market basis.

The Tiger Beer team has already launched many impressive initiatives around the world, and now it will extend the reach and impact of these activities through social media with the agency’s help to foster even greater engagement with the brand’s global communities. On the new strategy, Edmond Neo, director, group commercial, Asia Pacific Breweries said “Tiger Beer has been successful in capitalizing on lifestyle platforms such as Tiger Translate and Tiger Street Football which appeal to increasingly trend-savvy consumers. We are pleased to have engaged We Are Social to further the breadth and depth in which we engage with the new generation of drinkers online.” Earlier in the year, Tiger beer had appointed Ireland based Rothco as its creative agency for its global brand campaigns.
