WFA has announced that the next Global Marketer Week will take place in Singapore from 31st March to 3rd April 2020, with the support of the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) and the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB).
The location reflects the critical importance of Asia-Pacific as a growth generator for global brands, as well as the importance of Singapore as a hub for global and regional marketers.
Despite uncertainties over the global economic outlook and ongoing trade tensions, WFA members still overwhelmingly see Asia-Pacific as a critical source of growth for their brands. 72 per cent of respondents to a recent WFA member barometer said it would be their main source of growth in the next five years.
WFA has invested significantly in the region. WFA’s growing Singapore team, led by Ranji David, Director, APAC – Marketing Services, hosts more member meetings than any other city. It will also be the fifth time in a decade that the event has been held in Asia-Pacific following Tokyo in 2018, Kuala Lumpur in 2016, Sydney in 2014 and Beijing in 2011.

The showpiece event will be the WFA Global Marketer Conference on April 2nd, which will bring together some of the global industry’s biggest brands to share strategies for growth in a fast-changing world and inspire marketers with innovation across a wide range of categories, media channels and regions. The week will also include a number of side events for both policy and marketing professionals.
