XM Gravity gets digital expert as COO

XM Gravity has brought Indonesian digital veteran Nanda Ivens on board as Chief Operating Officer.  The appointment of Ivens to this role adds senior bench strength at a pivotal growth phase for XM Gravity, which was acquired by JWT’s XM Asia Pacific in March.

“We are thrilled to have Nanda on board.  He’s a very senior, well-known figure on Indonesia’s digital scene, and a real asset to XM Gravity,” said Kevin Mintaraga, XM Gravity’s CEO. Ivens joins XM Gravity from IndoPacific Edelman Indonesia where he served as both director of the company’s Digital, Technology and Consumer practice and the Indonesia director of Edelman Digital since 2008.  Through these roles, Ivens helped grow their business and transform Edelman into one of the country’s leading digital PR companies. Before Edelman, Ivens worked as an account director at Neo@Ogilvy, an online sales executive at The Economist and account manager at Mindshare Interaction.  He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Boston University.

XM Gravity creates online, mobile and social media campaigns for a notable roster of local and global clients, including Danone, Unilever, Frisian Flag, Samsung and Indofood.  Recently, XM Gravity was named Digital Agency of Record for PT. XL Axiata Tbk, the country’s third largest telecommunications company. Indonesia is one of the largest social media markets in the world, and is Facebook’s third largest market, after the U.S. and India. It is also one of the fastest-growing advertising markets.  Indonesia will be the fifth largest contributor of new advertising expenditure in the world this year, according to MindShare.
