Genesis Healthcare Co., Japan’s genetic testing and research company, has appointed Michel Mommejat to the position of Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) in its headquarters in Tokyo.

Most recently, Mr Mommejat served as Managing Director for Digital, Data and Technology at McCann Worldgroup in Japan, driving the digital transformation of the group and its portfolio of clients. In previous roles, Mr Mommejat held senior regional APAC positions at leading communication and marketing agencies in Singapore for nine years, including FleishmanHillard and Wunderman. Furthermore, he is no stranger to Japan, he previously spent six years in Tokyo as founding member of TEQUILA and Integer, part of TBWA group.
“2018 is a pivotal year for Genesis Healthcare, incremental marketing investment will strengthen the awareness of our GeneLife product range and Michel Mommejat will play a critical role in accelerating our developments and growth”, commented Dr. Baran on the newly created position of CMO.
In April 2018, Genesis Healthcare hosted its first ‘DNA Day’ in Japan and became one of the official sponsors of the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles. Marketing investment will expand further in the summer with the introduction of a TV commercial and advertising campaign to raise the awareness of GeneLife products and new services.
In addition, Mr Mommejat will drive commercial partnerships and co-marketing initiatives as well as spearhead strategic marketing communications across the region, with focus on Taiwan and SouthEast Asia with the recent opening of Genesis Healthcare’s office in Singapore.
